Went to help out with my senior's lion dance yesterday and today.
Yesterday few of my senior met up at my heng's house then helped out with the decoration for the big lorry. Did the decoration for few hours and then we changed into the lion dance shirt and headed to bukit merah to perform during evening time. reacehed there at about 7 plus i think. then prepare and so on... had performance for lots of things. in the end, everythings finishes at 10plus and i reached tampines at about 11 plus.. helped them to unload, arrange then one of my senior dad sent few people back. i went home first while they want to have their dinner/supper under my house de prata shop. so i ended up home kinda late also. It was a great time for me as i learn new things about it. =) great experience too.
Today i went over to my heng's house again for lion dance also. had performance at Carlton Hotel. Some VIP/minister were there for some dinner with a lot of people. Did some small decoration for the small lorry.. same thing like yesterday. changed, prepare. upload the stuffs and then headed to the hotel. we were suppose to reach at 6 but due to the rain, we got delayed. we left at 5plus. Making the matter worst, the highway got BIG JAM! so we ended up there at 7. thank God that the VIPs aren't there yet. soon later. the VIPs came and we had our performances till 8plus.. And again, we headed to one of the big Kopitiam at sambawang there for another performance. is a headache for us because certain steps we dont use it that much. so we took a long time discussing about it. some time later after we started, when the guy carrying the lion's head jumped up the table, he kinda slip and fell because the table is wet and the floor is wet. *it Rain* the table tilted in front. is so sudden. so i went over to support the table. the performance carry on and it took quite long to finish all the performance. i was so glad that wei long called me to help out yesterday. didnt expect that i could learn so much about lion dance.. haha.. cool DAYs.. so we headed back to tampines at 10plus. when we reached heng's house, we unload and stuffsssssssss then after they alighted me at my house here, they went over to 800+ there at about 11plus and settle their dinner/supper.. what a day.. haha.. if got chance, i will upload photos for you people.. =DDDD
